Attention Artists, Craftsmen and Vendors. Old Fort's Oktoberfest is around the corner Dear Artists, Craftsmen and Vendors: The October Fall Festival committee is pleased to invite you to be a part of the annual October Fall Festival. Sponsored by the Old Fort Chamber of Commerce. An important new law will effect food vendors, please click here for information about this new law. Or click on link below to read and print out forms. We would like for you to participate in our Friday, Saturday and Sunday Arts and Crafts Festival. Like last year, we will be at the Gateway Mountain Museum' on Water Street. We will make every effort to position spaces so the cooking food booths are separate from craft booths, food booths that do not cook may be placed among the craft vendors. In addition to the arts & crafts and food vendors, the activities will include; live bands, games for children and kiddy rides. SPECIAL NOTE: With the larger booth sizes, we will be crossing the river over the bridge into the field across the river. If you want your booth along the river please make note on your application. This is a very scenic walk and a well-shaded area. This area is where the kids rides are located. Only limited food vendors will be allowed in this area, you must be totally self contained with water. HOURS: 9AM TO 7PM LOCATION: MOUNTAIN GATEWAY MUSEUM ON WATER STREET ELECTRICITY: LIMITED ELECTRICITY IS AVAILABLE FOR $10 PER VENDOR PRICE: A MAXIMUM OF TWO 12'X12'SPACES MAY BE RESERVED AT $100 EACH FOR THREE DAYS. YOU WILL NEED TO BRING ALL NECESSARY PROPS, INCLUDING TABLES, CHAIRS AND PROTECTION FROM THE WEATHER, ALSO WE DO NOT HAVE THE MANPOWER TO HELP YOU SET UP. NO STRUCTURES OF ANY KIND ARE PERMITTED. SMALL FOOD TRAILERS WILL BE CHARGED FOR TWO SITES, MAKE SURE THAT YOUR APPLICATION CLEARLY STATES THAT YOU HAVE A TRAILER. LARGE TRAILERS AND RVs WILL BE CHARGED BASED ON THE AREA THEY NEED, 12X12 BEING THE BASIS FOR ONE SITE, IF YOUR RV OR LARGE TRAILER WILL NEED 36 FT THEN THE PRICE WILL BE $100 X 3. SETUP: SAME DAY SET UP WILL START AT 7AM ON FRIDAY, YOU MAY COME ON THURSDAY AFTER 5PM TO SET UP, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU COME ON THURSDAY!. COME TO THE MUSEUM ONLY, NO ONE WILL BE AT THE CHAMBER OFFICE AT CHECK IN. YOU MAY DRIVE TO YOUR ASSIGNED SPACE, UNLOAD AND THEN PARK YOUR VEHICLE IN A DESIGNATED AREA. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE OUT OF THE FESTIVAL AREA BY 9AM. PLEASE BEGIN YOUR SETUP AFTER REMOVING YOUR VEHICLE. VEHICLES WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE FESTIVAL AREA AFTER CLOSING TIME ONLY. YOU MAY NOT PARK IN THE PARKING LOTS AROUND JOHN'S MARKET ACROSS FROM THE MUSEUM! OR ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. SCREENING: ITEMS AND DISPLAYS IN THE SHOW MUST BE APPROVED THROUGH THE COMMITTEE. THIS MAY BE DONE THROUGH PHOTO OR SLIDES. THIS WILL NOT BE NECESSARY IF YOU WERE HERE LAST YEAR. SCREENING MUST OCCUR BEFORE RESERVATIONS ARE CONFIRMED. THE COMMITTEE WILL REVIEW EACH BOOTH AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSIST ON THE REMOVAL OF ANY WORK THAT HAS NOT BEEN SCREENED OR IS IN POOR TASTE OR INAPPROPRIATE. DRINKS: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SELLING DRINKS THE OLD FORT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WILL HAVE THEM AVAILABLE. YOU MUST PURCHASE RESALE SOFT DRINKS FROM THE CHAMBER. SECURITY: OLD FORT POLICE WILL SUPPLY SECURITY FOR THIS EVENT DURING THE NIGHT. THE CHAMBER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSE OR DAMAGE. REGISTRATIONS: EVERYONE MUST FILL OUT THE ATTACHED FORM AND SEND IT ALONG WITH PHOTOS OF YOU’RE WORK OR YOUR FOOD BOOTH. IF YOU WOULD LIKE US TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR APPLICATION, PLEASE SEND A SELF ADDRESSED ENVELOPE. IF YOU PLAN TO SELL FOOD DURING THE FESTIVAL, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO PROVIDE A QUALITY PRODUCT IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER AND TO STAY OPEN WHILE THE FESTIVAL IS IN PROGRESS. NO FOOD OR DRINKS ARE ALLOWED TO BE SOLD FROM DESIGNATED CRAFT BOOTHS. ACCEPTANCE IS PRIORITIZED BY THE DATE ON WHICH THE APPLICATION IS RECEIVED. NO RESERVATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT THE FEE. TAXES: YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR COLLECTING AND REPORTING THE STATE SALES TAX. CHECK-IN: THE CHECK-IN WILL BE LOCATED AT THE MOUNTAIN GATEWAY MUSEUM. THURSDAY 5 PM TO 7 PM, AND FRIDAY 7 AM. THIS IS WHERE YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR SPACE ASSIGNMENT. WE EXPECT 10,000 TO 12,000 PEOPLE. CANCELLATION: IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND AFTER RESERVING YOU'RE SPACE YOU MUST CANCEL BY 4:30PM ON SEPTEMBER 15 TO RECEIVE YOU DEPOSIT BACK.
